Aisha Jamila Hinds is a popular American actress. Her fame is due to the roles she played in the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. In the years since her debut, she's shown her ability to perform in series like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. Her first recognition came from her role as Anna in the 2005 movie Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her performance as the women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actress. Hind's performance as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's time-based drama Underground was likewise highly praised. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show is scheduled to be renewed for a second season. Hind has recently finished filming the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is scheduled to release in mid-2019.
