Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey is an African American author. Her most well-known work is as the ex-wife to the comedian Steve Harvey. She chose to keep her private life secretive and out of the public eye. Steve had never achieved the same fame and success that he has now, but they were married 14 years. Rumours are circulating around Hollywood regarding the reason for their split. Some people believe it was because of Steve Harvey's unfaithful ways, while others attribute it to his choice to pursue comedy as a career. Her tragic past is believed to be due to Steve's neglect of her and her daughters as she was pregnant with her third child. Despite her struggles she has carved out an impressive name for herself in fashion design as well as writing. She is the author of 'Marcia's Eyes To The Soul, 'Marcia's Poems From The Heart, and Marcia's Thoughts From the Mind. Her kindness has been an inspiration to her children. The details of Marcia Harvey's past, besides the fact she was born into an African-American family , and they were not rich. She began working for a department store named 'Saks Fifth Avenue'. Steve met her at a friend's wedding reception. They fell in love, and they got married in the year 1980. Steve was working as an insurance salesman the time , and the couple was blessed with twin girls in 1982. At that point, Steve was already beginning to lose interest in his work and was looking to make a career in entertainment including stand-up comedy, particularly stand-up. Steve and Marcia had a difficult time getting along and reports later suggested that they had been living apart since the year 1990. Marcia Harvey's fame stemmed in large part due to her marriage Steve Harvey, and their divorce. While the circumstances that led to the divorce of Steve and Marcia in 1994 are mostly kept private but there is no doubt that Marcia was pregnant with their third child when the marriage fell apart. Marcia was divorced in 1993. After the divorce, and Steve Harvey's refusal to pay alimony and child support, Marcia was forced to approach the law.
