Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born the 2nd of December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a child, Britney attended dance classes and was a pro at gymnastics, winning many competitions and the like. Britney was a fantastic singer and dancer. At the age of 8, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however she was rejected because of her age. It led her to an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the title character. When she was 11 she was back in the running for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and she made the show as a mouseketeer with numerous stars of today (Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez from *NSYNC as well as Ryan Gosling). But her most significant break occurred in the mid-90s when she was signed to be a Jive Recording Artist. Britney was an enormous hit following her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby another time" in 1999. She also sold over 13 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I did it Again" which was released in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears, she has a big brother, Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. From the time she was a kid, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with her idols, including Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney could always be heard singing, no matter the other events going on around her. After having a lot of vocal and dance lessons, as well as participating in numerous show and fairs Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) TV show (1989-1994) at the age of aged eight, but was too young to play the role. Britney relocated to New York with her mother and baby sibling. She was a part of numerous TV advertisements as well as being an understudy for Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. She discovered her love of music and dance two years later, when she auditioned again for "Mickey Mouse" and was able to win the role alongside Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
