Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush Big Time Rush, an American
pop-punk band was founded in the year 2009. The group consists of Kendall
Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan Henderson and Carlos PenaVega. They
signed their first contract to Nick Records in 2009 before changing to Columbia
Records. The group was a part of the Nickelodeon television show of the same
name, Big Time Rush. The show aired from the beginning of November 28, 2009
through July 25, 2013. The premiere episode featured the group's first promo
single, "Big Time Rush". The band has released three albums,
including BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011 and 24/Seven in 2013. In 2014, the band
went on an indefinite hiatus that lasted up to 2021. They resumed live
performances in the studio, and then released "Call It Like It Sees
It". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to an album deal in the year
2009, alongside its TV series, Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon joined forces with
Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to develop the show and provide music that
was original to the series. The debut single, "Big Time Rush",
appeared on the series on November 29th, 2009. The song was officially released
on Nickelodeon, it first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later
broadcast across the world. It debuted during a one-hour special preview of the
show and is currently the show's opening theme. The series also saw songs
released as promotional singles like "City is Ours" and "Any
Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush covered "Famous" by Play. The song was
released to iTunes on June 29, 2010, After the series' premiere the second
song, "Halfway There", was released on iTunes on April 27 the 27th of
April, 2010. The track quickly became their first hit song to be charted on the
Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93 due to the sales of digital music. On
September 21 on the 21st of September in 2010, Big Time Rush released second
single "Till I Forget About You", to promote the release of their
debut album. The album, BTR was released on October 11 on the 11th of October,
the 11th of October. The album reached the top 3 spot on Billboard 200 and sold
67,000 copies within its first seven days.
